Quality Flower Garden Building Toy for toddlers and kids

Educational STEM toy that encourage creativity

For this past Christmas, my dear Chloe received as a present a pretty cool educational STEM game: a Flower Garden Building toy from our awesome family friend Simona, that we love very much for always being so thoughtful and present in our lives even if unfortunately we live a bunch of states away. Since we received the toy, the kids have been asking to play with it, and when we opened it, they were not disappointed!
Before continuing talking about this educational STEM toy for toddler and kids, I want to note down that there are probably hundreds of different kits like this one on Amazon and other websites. This review is about THIS one linked HERE, that has 109 pieces and is recommended for kids age 3-7. Many other brands might look similar or even the same, but I also noticed many have not so great reviews, so I’ll limit myself to only link the one we have, tried and like.

Chloe will be 3 years old in April, but she found this STEM toy really interesting, she had no trouble understanding how to play and due to having a bigger sister she is also used to play with toys for older kids. She spent a good hour the first time playing with it as we went through the unboxing and explaining part too. From the second time on, she still spent at least 30 minutes playing with it. While is often marketed as a toy for girls, it obviously is not such a thing and I can assure you that boys will have great fun playing it with it too, as it happened with a 3 years old boy that I babysit sometimes and that loved to play with it! I suggest to be present when your child play with this toy, as while most parts aren’t really that small, it wouldn’t be uncommon for a younger child to use the pieces dangerously and not as intended (like putting the longer thin pieces in their noses or ears).

My oldest daughter Anna is now 6 years old and she too liked to play with this STEM toy, along with a 7 years old girl I babysit: they both loved the creative aspect of the game, the many colors and types of flowers and the unlimited combos available to create, the fact you can connect the bottom pieces and make a big circular garden. Even if they finished playing with it before Chloe did, this toy still kept them occupied for a while. This Flower Garden Building toy is made of kids friendly material, BPA free plastic, and the pieces are all pretty smooth, I have not noticed any defect of messed up plastic at all. It comes with a storing bag, which for me is awesome and a nice bonus: kids can put everything away even by themselves and keep the toy’s pieces organized.

This Flower garden building STEM toy is definitely a fun and education toy that help improve developmental skills like fine and gross motor skills, learning more about colors, shapes and stacking, beside pushing kids to play using their creativity. The flowers resemble real ones like lily, morning glory, orchid, hibiscus, chrysanthemum, rosa laevigata, thymus and more. NOTE: even if in the box there is a picture of 2 flowers in a vase, that is for demonstration purposes and they are not included. That is however another awesome way to use this toy OUTDOOR during the summer: if you love to garden and your little one want to participate, let your child have fun planting this flowers in real pots, and then play watering them and switching them up!
